TJ’s Dark Chocolate Almond Laceys are permanently on our weekly shopping list. Each week we buy one for my husband to take to work. This is his afternoon pick me up snack. Who can blame him, they are very satisfying. You get toffee and chocolate all in one. They are thin and crunchy. There is also a milk chocolate version of these cookies for those who don’t like the bitterness of the dark chocolate. We pretty much only do dark chocolate when given the option. They do get stale pretty quickly once opened, so make sure you close the lid tight each time you dig in for a snack.
Laceys can be purchased at different places, I’ve seen them at World Market and searching online they have even been sold at Wal-Mart. I’m pretty sure they are all made by the same company Deserts on Us, Inc. I compared the prices at World Market to TJ’s and they TJ’s are around 6 cents cheaper per cookie. Not a lot but it all adds up.
They are great with hot tea or an after dinner snack. They are worth a try the next time you are looking to try something new in the cookie section of TJ’s.
