Trader Joe’s Shooting Stars Cookies (Limited Supply)

Trader Joe’s Shooting Stars Chocolate- Coated Sugar Cookies Covered in Popping Candy (aka Pop Rocks) is a fun cookie treat for adults and children or my cat who ate one popping candy that fell on the floor.

Trader Joe’s has taken a pretty good sugar cookie, ok semi-sweet chocolate and made it into something I will buy because of the popping candy novelty. Yup, they nailed it. This is a cookie I would never buy for myself if it did not have the popping candy.

These cookies are so fun to eat, plus you get bonus popping candy at the bottom of the package! Do what you will with these little pieces of mouth fun.

While Trader Joe’s can’t call them Pop Rocks, that’s what they are minus the trademarked name. According to the Trader Joe’s web page, It’s made from cane sugar, milk, and organic corn syrup solids that are heated until they become syrup. The syrup is cooled in the presence of pressurized carbon dioxide gas, causing tiny, high-pressure bubbles to form inside crystalized candy bits.

Get these cookies while you can, they are a limited release and when they are gone they are gone, unless they do really well and become a seasonal item. These cookies are perfect to add to your 4th of July party. Adults will fight off the kids to try these cookies.

Excuse me while I go and eat a box these cookies while drinking soda.
